WB Group D Exam Date and Exam Scheme Pattern


WRITTEN EXAMINATION: - Full Marks : 85;

The Written Examination will have 85 Multiple Choice (Four choices) Objective Type Questions (MCQs) carrying 1 mark each. The duration of the examination will be One and a half hours. Question in the Written Examination shall be in the following subjects (of class VIII standard of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education):-

A. General Studies - 40 Marks (40 questions)

B. Language Paper (Bengali/ Nepali/ Hindi/ Urdu) - 10 Marks (10 questions)

C. Elementary Mathematics - 35 Marks (35 questions)
EXAM DATE AND TINE : 14TH May , 12 noon to 1:30 pm 

“There will be negative marking for the wrong answer and ½ marks will be deducted for every wrong answer”.

MCQ type questions will be set from both old and new syllabus of class VIII standard of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education.

The candidates are expected to fill up the correct blank space against a question no. on the OMR Answer Sheet. The Question Paper for General Studies and Mathematics will be in English and Bengali, but the Answers will have to be filled up correctly in OMR Sheet.

Note: - There will be no negative marking for any wrong answer. West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board will decide the prescribed scheme and syllabus for the Written Examination. The qualifying marks in the Written Examination will be fixed by the West Bengal Group D Recruitment Board.

WB Postal Circle will conduct a Written exam/Aptitude Test for recruitment to 439 posts of Postman/Mail guard for Post Offices in West Bengal. Exam of these posts will be held in the month of May, 2016.

Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for Postman/ Mail Guard written Exam is as Follows :-

SBI Clerk Admit Card 2016: The wait is finally over now, SBI has released the SBI Clerk Admit Card 2016 for Preliminary Online examination. The link for downloading the SBI Clerk Admit Card is available on the official website of SBI. Even the direct link for downloading the admit card is available here too. The candidates can click on the link to download their admit card without any hassle. SBI Clerk Hall Ticket will have all information related to date, time, venue and other details related to the exam.

The candidates can download the SBI Clerk Call Letter 2016 by submitting the registration number and the date of birth/password. Don’t forget to download the admit card before the last day ends. If the candidates face any difficulties in downloading the admit cards, click on the link that will be hosted on this page after the SBI Clerk Admit Card is released. The issuance of admit card for the main exams will be made once the results of the prelims are declared.

Details of the SBI Clerk Admit Card 2016

The candidates should verify the following information in the admit card of SBI Clerk 2016 –

Important points to remember:
The candidates are directed to keep in mind the following points before appearing for the exams:
  • Once the print out of the admit card is generated. The candidates should paste passport-sized colour photo in the designated space (Note: Do not staple the photo in the admit card rather stick it with a glue).
  • Attach a photocopy of the government photo ID such as license, Aadhar card, ration card, voter ID or passport.
  • The candidates are directed to write their name, roll number, registration number and put their initials on the photocopy of the ID proof.
  • The candidates should also take the photocopy of the admit card and staple the photocopy to the admit card.
  • The candidates should bring the similar original photo ID card which they have submitted while filling the application form while coming to the examination centre.
  • Candidates are advised to keep their e-mail ID active for receiving information regarding call letters.
  • The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/Adhar/PAN Card/Driving Licence/ Voter’s Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by School or College/Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self-attested Photocopy thereof.
  • The photocopy of Identity proof should be submitted along with call letter to the invigilators in the examination hall, failing which will disqualify the candidate to appear for the test.
  • Remember that the hard copy of the admit card will not be sent by post.

Process for downloading the SBI Clerk Admit Card 2016:

Follow the process mentioned below for downloading the admit card:
  1. Open the link mentioned above: At the very first step, candidates are directed to refer the link give above to download their admit card.
  2. Enter the required details: The candidates are supposed to enter their registration number, password, date of birth and other necessary details for fulfilling the first requirement of downloading the admit card. Enter the details correctly.
  3. Proceed to submit button: After filling the necessary details, press the submit button for getting the call letter.
  4. Display of admit card: Within few seconds, your admit card will be displayed automatically on the screen.
  5. Verify the details of the SBI Clerk Admit Card 2016: Candidates are advised to thoroughly read the details displayed in the admit card such as the registration number, roll number, exam centre, date of birth, name, contact number, address, date and time for reporting, venue and any other necessary information.

SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Stenographers (Grade C& D) Examination Pattern & Scheme of examination are given below…..


Scheme of Examination: The Examination will consists of a Written examination and Skill Test in Stenography.

1.Written Examination Examination: Written examination will consists of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. The questions except in Part III will be set both in English & Hindi.

Note-I: There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the questions.

2. Skill Test in Stenography: The candidates who qualify in the written examination will have to appear for the stenography test. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English / Hindi at the speed of 100 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade -C‘ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade -D‘. The matter will have to be transcribed on computer only.
 
The transcription time is as follows:
For Stenographer Grade-D : 50 minutes ( English ); 65 minutes ( Hindi )
For Stenographer Grade -C: 40 minutes ( English ); 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

Note:
1. If the candidates do not indicate the medium of Stenography Test in Column No.14 of the Application Form, the Commission will consider English as the medium of Stenography Test for such candidates and the candidates will not be allowed to change the medium at a subsequent stage.
2.There is no exemption from skill test for any category of candidates.

 
SSC Stenographer Syllabus Details: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Stenographers (Grade C & D) Examination’s Syllabus details are given below…
Syllabus:
 
General Intelligence & Reasoning: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal type. The test will include questions on analogies, similarities and differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discriminating observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series etc. The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate‘s abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationship, arithmetical computation and other analytical functions.

General Awareness: Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate‘s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighbouring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.

Note: For VH candidates of 40% and above visual disability and opting for SCRIBE there will be no component of Maps/Graphs/Diagrams/Statistical Data in the General Intelligence & Reasoning / General Awareness Paper.

English Language & Comprehension: In addition to the testing of candidates’ understanding of the English Language, its vocabulary, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms, antonyms and its correct usage, etc. his/her writing ability, would also be tested.


SSC Stenographer Selection Procedure: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Stenographers (Grade C& D) Examination will consists of Written Examination and Skill Test in Stenography. Selection process details are given below….

SSC Stenographer Selection: The examination will consist of a Written Examination and Skill Test in stenography.

A. Written Examination: The written examination will consist of Objective Type- Multiple choice questions only. The questions except in Part III will be set both in English & Hindi. Time duration for general candidates will be 2 Hours and 2 Hours 40 mins for Visually Handicapped candidates. There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the Written Examination as may be prescribed by the Commission will only be called for the Skill Test.

B. Skill Test in Stenography: Candidates will be shortlisted for the skill test on the basis of their performance in the Written Examination. The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature and and the Commission will fix the qualifying standards in the skill test for different categories of candidates. The Skill Test will be held at the Commission‘s Regional/Sub Regional Offices or at other Centres as may be decided by the Commission. There is no exemption from skill test for any category of candidates. Candidates who qualify in the skill test will be recommended for appointment by the Commission on the basis of their performance in the Written
Examination.

Resolution of Tie Cases: In case where more than one candidate secure the equal aggregates marks, tie will be resolved by applying the following methods one after another:-
i) Marks in first part of the written examination.
ii) Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.
iii) Alphabetical order in the first names of the candidates appear
