Eligibility Criteria for WBSSC KPS :

Age Limit : Not less than 18 Years and not more than 40 Years as on 01.01.2016.
  • 5 years relaxable for SC/ST Candidates of West Bengal.
  • 3 years relaxable for BC:A/BC:B Candidates of West Bengal.
  • 5 years relaxable for Persons with Disability (having physical disability of 40% or more).
  • 2 years relaxable for Candidates rendered 2 years of Government Service.
  • Age Relaxasion available for Ex-Serviceman as per Govt. Rules.
Qualification : Must have passed Higher Secondary (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognized Board/ Council.

Salary/ Pay Scale of KPS in West Bengal : 

KPS (Krishi Projukti Sahayak) will get the Salary under Pay Band 2 (Rs. 5,400 - 25,200) Grade Pay Rs. 2,900/-.

Application Fee for KPS 2016 Recruitment by WBSSC: 

Rs. 200+20+Transaction Charge for General & OBC.
Rs. 20+Transaction Charge for SC/ST/PWDs.

Scheme of KPS Examination :

Written Examination > Shortlisting of Candidates > Interview > Final Merit List/Selection.
**Final merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in Written Examination (150 marks)+ Interview (15 marks).

There Will be written examination of 150 marks. This Written Test consist of Two Parts, such as PART-I & PART-II. Part-I Consist of 120 Marks and Part-II is of 30 Marks. In Part-I there will be MCQ (Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions). There Will Be Total 120 Questions of 1 mark each. If you do wrong answer then you will lose .25 mark/wrong answer. The Part-II consist of single descriptive question of "Prรฉcis Writing" from a given English passage.
  • Answer scripts of Part – II will be evaluated only for those candidates, who will be shortlisted, Category - wise, by the Commission on the basis of marks obtained by them in Part - I.
  • Final merit list for written examination will be prepared by aggregating marks of Part I and Part – II.
  • Candidates must secure qualifying marks fixed by the Commission in the Part I and Part – II.
  • Qualifying marks fixed for Part - II will be as the following:- UR/OBC:A/OBC:B - 10Marks, SC Category - 7 Marks, ST Category - 5 Marks.

General Knowledge (40 Question/40 Marks)
(Madhyamik level : Physics, Chemistry, Biology, History, Geography, etc.)
(General Level : Important National or International events / issues, Know your State, Current Affairs, Art & Culture, Civics, Sports, Abbreviations, Computer, etc)

English (40 Question/40 Marks)
Madhyamik or Equivalent level : Comprehension, Grammar, Sentence Corrections, Synonyms & Antonyms, Spelling, Idioms / Phrases, etc.

Mathematics & Test of Reasoning (40 Question/40 Marks)
Madhyamik or Equivalent level : Average, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Simple interest, Profit & Loss, Time & Distance / Time & Work, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Mensuration, Test of Reasoning, etc.

■ English Prรฉcis Writing : 1 Question/30 Marks
Madhyamik Or Higher Secondary : Candidates have to write prรฉcis from a given passage in English
