WBCS Preliminary & MAIN Previous Paper TILL DATE

WBCS-West Bengal Civil Service conducts exams for various departments . The most important exam is WBCS Executive . A large number of people wait for this exam every year . Before preparing any exam every candidate must know the complete syllabus and the exam pattern . Here we update all previous papers of WBCS regularly. You will get all previous paper till date .

All the candidates who are preparing for the Civil Services Examination of West Bengal will have to undergo three stages of selection, i.e. Preliminary, Mains and Personality Test and Interview.

Stage 1: Preliminary Exam

There will be one exam in the preliminary examination on the topic of general studies.
The paper will be objective type nature having 200 MCQ’s for 1 mark each. The total marks for the prelims will be 200.
The Total time duration for the preliminary exam will be two and a half hours.
The level of difficulty for the paper will be set on the basis of level of knowledge as expected from a graduate of any faculty of a recognized university.
The paper will include questions covering the following fields of knowledge.

Stage 2: Mains Examination

Candidates who are declared qualified in the preliminary examination will be able to appear for the mains exam of WBCS 2017.
The mains exam will have a total of 6 compulsory papers and 2 papers on one optional subject as chosen by the candidates.
The total marks for all the papers whether compulsory or optional will be 200 and the time allotted for all the exams will be 3 hours.

Paper III: General Studies-I : (i) Indian History with special emphasis on National Movement and (ii) Geography of India with special reference to West Bengal.
Paper IV: General Studies-II : Science and Scientific & Technological advancement, Environment, General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
Paper V: The Constitution of India and Indian Economy including role and functions of Reserve Bank of India.
Paper VI: Arithmetic and Test of Reasoning.
